ASIS GREETING FOR 2012!

WELCOME to the website for Canadian Pacific Chapter 190 !  Our newly elected chapter executive for 2012 have met to set out our goals and objectives for this coming year.  We are very excited about building on the momentum attained  through the successful programs held last year, and have planned a very exciting and busy schedule for our members in 2012.

This year our planned eduational programs include :

  1. A PSP review for members interested in achieving this very important designation.
  2. One or Two short seminars to be held on current topics, with one of those seminars possibly  to be held on Vancouver Island.
  3. A series of luncheons at the Terminal City Club in Vancouver with a high calibre of guest speakers presenting on current security topics.  One of these luncheons is planned for Vancouver Island  to include our large membership base there.   Our goal is DOUBLE the attendance at these luncheons, so please make every effort to attend, but consider bringing a colleague, peer, your boss or a  prospective client to show them the value of what YOU do every day!

Our chapter is also planning a golf tournament to promote networking within our large chapter membership which covers a huge geographic area.  We are reaching out to our neighbours in the Puget Sound ASIS Chapter in the State of Washington to revive the “Border Cup Challenge” which was so successful within our chapter several years ago.

We are researching member interest in organizing a social event that would allow for networking and social interaction with chapter members and spouses.

We will be launching a newsletter this year to outline the many events within our chapter and to highlight some of members who have achieved special recognition.

As you can see we have a very ambituous program laid out for 2012 and we need YOUR help to ensure success!   Please volunteer your time to help out in any of these programs that have been mentioned above, and I assure you, you will never regret the extra time spent in this wonderful, and dynamic chapter.

Lastly, our executive  is committed to ensuring our mandate of education of our members is completed in the most professional and fun way that we can, but only with your participation.

Sincerely,
